if you’re a witch who is caucasian you can’t:

  • do smudging
  • practice voodoo/hoodoo
  • be a bruja
  • be a shaman
  • call yourself a g*psy
  • have a spirit animal
  • do anything from a closed culture

you know why? because you’re not part of those cultures thus you can’t do or be any of those without appropriating it. also calling yourself a slur is fucking gross man. don’t do it. g*psy doesn’t mean free spirited it’s a literal slur for the romani people.

however, you can:

  • take aspects from open cultures and your culture
  • be a certain type of witch
  • do smoke cleansing
  • study herbology
  • have a patrnous/familiar
  • do tarot
  • make moon water
  • do basically anything that isn’t from a closed culture

do things from open cultures and your culture, don’t take from other closed cultures because, again, it’s cultural appropriation

and when i mean Caucasian i mean

I’m a mut, spanning from every which culture, spirits are not bound by color when being reincarnated. If you feel you are this or that, and you take it seriously and are respectful, then all the power to you. Do NOT let anyone tell you what you can or can’t be, do not let ANYONE limit you. The Spirit is not bound by mundane “race”.

this is it,the worst thing i’ve ever read

like yes… race is a social construct… but that doesn’t suddenly negate the harm and consequences to your racist actions. maybe think about how race is socially constructed in different ways than just “how can i use this to benefit myself?” because, maybe race is something that actually affects other people

Well yeah, if you don’t take it seriously and are not respectful. But, I did say that if they feel that they are and they “take it seriously and ARE respectful” then they should be allowed to practice regardless of the color of their skin. But, even still if they were not to take it seriously or respectfully then that’s on them to take responsibility of the consequences. But, then again you said “your racist actions”, but really I’m a mut with several different backgrounds that span a plethora of races so I do take it seriously, respectfully and with humility when it comes to my ancestors I am no racist. I don’t just use things to benefit for myself and most of the time have been towards the benefit for the entirety of the human race. Instead of shunning those who are irresponsible, how about take them under a wing and help guide them, turning them away might possible make them even more disrespectful and who really wins at that point? No one.

okay 1. taking things from a closed culture is always harmful unless you are specifically invited to do so. that’s what OP is saying. feeling entitled to a culture is different from being welcomed into it

2. you said you’re from ‘every which culture’. All of them? every single culture? and it sounded like you said you were a PoC in a past life, like that counts. This has every red flag that you’re a white person lying on the internet for credibility. I’ve never in my life heard a mixed race person repeatedly call themselves a ‘mut’ instead of explaining what cultures they belong to, or just saying ‘i’m mixed race’. it sounds like you didn’t do a lick of research before trying to fake this, it’s really gross, 0/10 for effort
