anyway while yall are logged off tumblr on dec 17 to protest tits how about you also go to a protest or vigil because dec 17 is the international day to end violence against sex workers
we’re about 160% as likely to be murdered as you are to get the clap, & about 4x as likely to be murdered as you are to go to the hospital for the flu. consider… giving a shit about those numbers, maybe. that’d be nice.
What’s it like to be trans? Imagine if, every time you decided to revisit a tv show you used to enjoy, you found there was a moment you forgot about where the characters pause to tell you that they hate you specifically and think you’re gross, and that this is supposed to be a joke.
do i know any trans people who haven’t housed someone in need? who haven’t themselves had to beg to stay housed or keep food on their family’s table?
almost without exception, every trans person i know is either jobless, precariously employed at minimum wage while navigating daily discrimination, or meticulously policing every single movement and word in their workplace to maintain stealth.
the people i know who aren’t in that position are, largely, working in gay and trans resource centers. they’re working for you, or people like you.
how can you look at some of the poorest among you and tell them that your main concern—as a leftist, as someone who believes in the women’s liberation, in the gay power—is that they have too much healthcare?
“The evil trans agenda is being financed by a shadowy cabal of billionaires and they all just happen to be Jewish” yeah I think we can all tell who you’ve been listening to
Some people on this site will talk about gender being a social construct and that sex is bullshit, but still refuse to break out of the man/woman dichotomy. They come across people identifying with space or stars or something and ridicule them for not being the Stamp of Approval Non-Binary Gender™ and start cursing the mogai acronym no different than the anti-sjws and transphobes that spew similar rhetoric.
anyway idc your stance on acecourse but stop putting hate//2//breakittoya on my dash theyre nbphobic as hell
their url is bottom//sona now and they literally said “being nb doesn’t impact your reality at all it just provides you with another social group to align yourself with” and claimed that all nb spaces are just echo chambers with bad politics
please reblog this so people know to stop reblogging from a transphobe
honestly the whole time reading these, i’m just sitting here thinking these folks sure have spent a lot of time crafting their weird bigoted theories into something that look academic. like it’s just going in circles and could be simply summarised into “i don’t think nonbinariness is real”.
“traps aren’t trans women, they’re effeminate gay dudes who crossdress to deceive and fuck straight guys”
ok but you’ve, just decided to counter an accusation of transphobia with “checkmate, i’m a huge transphobe AND homophobe. weren’t expecting that one hey?”. like you really thought your knowledge of fetish anime would make you look Less Gross
continually surprised how chasers think they’re getting away with: “my fetish isn’t trans women, my fetish is just identical in every way to trans women except closeted, or traumatised to staying in the closet and who doesn’t have the language or confidence to ask to be respected. also a cartoon usually.”
Also, for those who say “b-but how do I describe my anime waifu now????” – Japanese doesn’t even use the term ‘trap.’ It’s a transmisogynist term that started on 4chan that’s coercively applied to any person assigned male at birth that crossdresses (jousou, which is a neutral term in Japanese) presents femininely (onee), or is otherwise feminine of center (trans women, transfems, x -gender, as well as various GNC men, cis drag queens etc.), both in Western fandom and irl. It’s a slur, just like sh*male.
More about there term here, from Andrea Ritsu, a Japanese trans woman.
Casual reminder that being or a minority group doesn’t stop you from having bigotry against another or even against the one you’re in. 🙃
one guy told me he couldn’t be transphobic bc he was gay and had a grandfather who survived the holocaust. he was a huge transphobe and it turned out he gave the same speech to everyone he was harassing. it really seemed like he thought he knew everything about oppression so there was nothing more to learn
