unpopular opinion: there isnβt a real distinction between Discrimination and Oppression. there is no such thing as discrimination that comes from nowhere because it all has a systemic basis. telling oppressed people that their oppression βdoesnβt have a real systemic basisβ is a symptom of being complacent. thinning down all systems of oppression into Race, Class and Gender and then βlesserβ forms of discrimination like ableism (and often transphobia) as if they were nothing more than random individual bias is the same silencing tactic that oppressors use to deny that any form of oppression exists.
