this and anarcho-capitalism are different wordings for the same idea of “feudalism and we all agree to pretend that serfs are serfs due to their own personal failings and the king just works harder than anyone else”

this dude was saying “monarchy was originally decentralised” (before later despotism whatever the fuck he means by that) which i figure means, not all political power was given to the monarch like a straight dictatorship, as individual landowners have their own power to control their own subjects.

which is like, just how you enforce the monarchy’s rule. the monarchy giving out the power to enforce itself isn’t actually a division of political power.

unless this guy’s definition of “decentralisation” is like, instead of one king with one royal line, we have multiple groups perpetually stabbing each other in the back in order to crown themselves the ultimate ruler, and That’s how we decentralise because then it’s not one singular power. because, that’s also straight up typical feudalism. i don’t know how to decode any of this
