the “aces stole the colour purple” discourse is back. This time the discourse is “Purple means sapphic love only and aces are erasing our history by using it”.. and like guys its a colour bi also has purple and men can use that so I don’t see why they aren’t arguing against that.. just aces

i want to add, it’s specifically violet that’s a symbol of love between women. bc of the flower appearing in Sappho’s poetry, it’s been a gift that you give to a girl to tell her you like her for centuries. the purples on the bi and ace flags are just different purples, they’re not meant to depict violet at all.
