of course it does, why wouldn’t it? a trans person can obviously be a representative for, like, a trans-specific organization, but a trans person existing is not trans representation, because they’re not a fictional character in a story, and people acting like they are is…. why respectability politics happen tbh
as soon as you say a real life trans person who really exists is “trans representation” then you’ve decided that a real life human person’s real life could theoretically be “bad trans representation” or “problematic trans representation”, as if someone can do their own identity wrong, and as if somehow the concept of being trans is negatively impacted by someone’s real life being… morally grey, or “stereotypical”, or something
