exclusionary politics of all forms ultimately boil down to performative activism and making everything u dislike or donβt understand problematic so u can keep ur woke points bc keeping up the facade that you are Not and Never Have Been problematic is more important that the actual impact you have on others and the world, not actually trying to change things or provide resources or support or educating yourself and being able to admit youβre wrong or Grow as a human being.Β
iβm bipolar and i had my self esteem beaten the fuck down from the time i was Born. i understand how difficult dealing with criticism can be and how shameful being wrong can be sometimes. HOWEVER if you can not place those feelings above the well being of others, itβs no longer a not being able to take criticism problem. itβs you being selfish and that is wrong.Β
i go absolutely ape shit buck wild when people ask me if i want to run errands with them like Letβs Fucking Go. and my mind absolutely maxes out of dopamine when they ask if i wanna stop for coffee. and if someone took me to the park id go bonkers in funcking yonkers
i got so high last night that i started ghostwriting for a golden retriever apparently
apparently vegemite toasties fried in butter are way above something called my βrecommended daily salt intakeβ? and who exactly should i see about raising that limit?
probably our most toxic thing besides snakes and other sea creatures like the blue ring octopus, but from what i can tell theyβre a more common thing to get stung by.
theyβre a relative of the pufferfish. search what they look like. they just look like a bumpy rock with a grumpy face. hence the name. apparently theyβre even decently camouflaged lying on the beach, and they can go all day out of the water. so theyβre impossible to spot underwater unless itβs very clear, and you know what to look for.
they have β13 sharp strong dorsal fin spinesβ, and just lie in wait. i assume it catches prey like this but itβs also perfectly adapted to going right up into a human foot. iβve never been to a beach where theyβre common but i was still warned about them in school. from the queensland museum website βThe pain is immediate, excruciating and may last for many days. Muscular
paralysis, breathing difficulties, shock, and sometimes heart failure
and death can ensueβ. it needs immediate hospitalisation (although, apparently, wikipedia says hot water at 45 degrees can neutralise the venom, but still go to hospital holy shit donβt rely on wikipedia for your antivenom needs)
so like, youβll usually live, but youβll definitely be on crutches for a few months because it just fucks up the muscles in your foot. but the pain. iβm 100% every website is understating how much it hurts, because everyone i talk to whose seen someone after being stung by a stonefish will still wince when they talk about it.
