I really, really, really cannot fathom the level of willful ignorance required to believe βitβs βLGBTβ, I donβt see aces in thereβ is a legitimate argument.
Like, where do you think that term came from? βLGBTβ was not handed to us from on high. Itβs not a fundamental law of the universe. Itβs not even that old as an accepted term. Itβs the latest iteration of a series of shorthands attempting to refer to groups supposedly standing in solidarity with each as a shared community, with shared problems and shared goals and hopes. Itβs an umbrella term, and whenever we realize weβve left someone out in the rain, we get a bigger umbrella. Itβs actually already happening, you canβt pretend it isnβt.
So, seriously, if you think somehow a recently coined phrase is the absolute word of truth with who does or doesnβt belong in this community, get bent.
I couldnβt add every flags but I mostly put what I thought was relevant to them π (of course those are ideas but you can disagree with it!)
Anyway I hope you liked it!
