These posts matched each other so perfectly I thought they were the same post at first

[image description: a screenshot of op’s dashboard showing two posts. First a text post by windsroad that reads, β€œwhy do people in dnd each occupy a 5ft by 5ft square, how far apart do you think people need to be? why are dnd minis afraid of touching”

Below that is a quote (source: buckykingofmemes) that says, β€œthose are bold words for someone in stabbing range” /end image description]

ITS CONTEXT?Β

KIRK WORRYING THAT HE OBJECTIFIES WOMEN. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND REALLY SOAK THIS IN.Β

[Image description: The first image is a two-panel Star Trek comic where Kirk asks Bones, β€œBones… do you think I like women?” In the second panel, Bones reacts to this by coughing and spilling his drink all over himself.

In the second image, Bones asks Kirk to clarify his question, asking, β€œAs… uh… As opposed to what?” Kirk replies, saying, β€œAs opposed to feeling threatened by them. I mean, do you think I’m someone who feels uncomfortable being subordinate to, or on par with, a woman? Am I someone who relegates each woman I meet – especially the good-looking ones – to the status of either β€˜I want her’ or β€˜I don’t want her’?”]

Β #can i mention how cool it is to have a variation of sherlock holmes where he says stuff like thisΒ #because it’s importantΒ #and this episode is my favourite so far because it’s surprisingly accurateΒ #and it was just great to hear him say thisΒ #because sherlock holmes is of course intelligent and a modern sherlock would know thisΒ #and even though this holmes does have that social crass and indelicacy he’s softer in some ways to the othersΒ #which is what makes him different and a new take and interesting to watchΒ #he’s a rare fictional example of a character who is pragmatic and driven and a bit socially blunt but also has a firm moral intelligence tooΒ #just because a character can be blunt and rude and not understand that they’ve just insulted someone doesn’t have to meanΒ #that they don’t understand right from wrongΒ  (via teacupsandcyanide)

[Caption: Two gifs of Sherlock Holmes on Elementary. He says,Β β€œVictims of horrific abuse are often protective of their abusers. / It doesn’t mean we should send them back for seconds.”]

I saw a post by @adhdmoi about sensory overload and realized it was relatable for anxiety, autism, and ADHD. so i made a meme.

[id= a picture of three arms with their hands held together in the center. One arm is labelled β€œADHD” another is labelled β€œAnxiety Disorder” and the third is labelled β€œAutism Spectrum Disorder”. Where the three hands are held together there is a cropped screenshot of a post by adhdmoi that says β€œhhhhhhhhhhhh TOO LOUD” /end id]

I don’t know if this is weird or not, but I totes read Mulan as a trans woman! I tend to read allΒ β€œwomen who pretend to be men” stories as veryΒ similar to my experience. In contrast, I’ve never imagined that a character presented to the audience as male was actually a trans woman.Β

Is my way much rarer?

In any event, I think we can all love Mulan!

[Image description: 1. A photo of two clasped hands. One arm is labeled β€œlesbians” and the other β€œtrans men”. Their joined hands are labeled β€œloving mulan”

2. A photo of three joined hands, each one holding the wrist to their right. The hands are labeled β€œlesbians” β€œtrans men” and β€œbi ppl who stan sheng”. The space in the middle is labeled β€œloving mulan”.

3. A pixilated stick photo of four hands clasped in a circle with the words superimposed on top: β€œ all LGBT people interpreting mulan’s undoubtably LGBT identity differently depending on their own experience, and subsequently loving Mulan because of our overlap of experience as LGBT people” End description.]
