if you believe ace lesbians hold a privilege over non-ace lesbians then you need to put that opinion in your bio or something so no one interacts w you on the mistaken assumption that you’ve ever come down to reality for a split second in your life, thanks

THIS IS CALLED BEING A BOTTOM

i hate this post because people are actually identifying with it. please stop. its not fucking real

pillow princess is an orientation

Anyway heres a good essay, like legit essay, that goes into howΒ β€œβ€β€Pillow Princess”” types aren’t bad approaching it from a historical lesbian context and how while these aren’t terms used there are people who fit and identify into this type of dichotomy, and that yall shouldn’t be dicks about how people enjoy sex especially when the world is so violent towards women in regards to sex.

if this is the same as being a bottom, why is it bad or problematic or whatever to identify as it? it’s weird, almost as if you don’t have a real complaint against microlabels & you’re just attacking anything you find unfamiliar

love the trend of people picking basically harmless identities and running them into the discourse ground until the entire existence of them is a joke and youre permitted to make fun of them bc everyone collectively decided to create an acceptable target . transparent

β€œasexuality is just SSRIs” is stupid half-baked tinfoil hat shit and just because a popular blog said it doesn’t mean it’s anywhere close to true

it’s literally the Woke version of β€˜people are trans cause they eat soy’

for those of you who were lucky enough not to see this absolutely ass-lick discourse

there’s a lot of garbage to unpack here but i think my biggest confusion is like….. so what??? if ssris make ur life livable but ur not really interested in sex anymore and being part of the ace community brings u joy……. so fucking what???

like apart from the myriad of logical fallacies all clamoring for attention n this hell concept……. ur real, honest to god concern is………. β€œthese teenagers don’t want to kill themselves but uhhhhh, they don’t really wanna have sex either,,,,,, and they’ve created a community that helps them accept themselves……… guys this is serious fucking business”

like that’s some nice suburban white mom β€œvaccines cause autism” bullshit, brenda, but most of us have real problems

it’s also such typical bullshit that they decide that sexualities are so static and permanent that they’re phrasing a change or realisation of sexuality as an illusion. like asexuality is a facade that must be distracting you from your One True Orientation.

sexuality can change. it happens to a lot of people. sometimes bc of your meds or hormones. sometimes bc of trauma. sometimes bc you’re just growing up and changing as a person, or because you have the vocab you didn’t have before. it’s such a weird version of identity politics that anything about you that’s temporary or that ever changes must be False, and also you’re a Faker.

also, they’re talking about libido anyway. because why should a community decide what it stands for, that’s other people’s jobs.

me, a semi-reasonable person: hm! i dont fully understand this identity or experience that this person is describing. this is probably because i dont experience this thing! that doesnt mean its not real! i will continue to respect this person because we r all different & maybe i will try to look up more info on this thing!

some of yall demons: hm!Β i dont fully understand this identity or experience that this person is describing. that must be because theyre trying to be special & im gonna turn it into a joke before i even bother to ask somebody to explain because my thoughts & experiences must be the only ones that are valid

unpopular opinion: there isn’t a real distinction between Discrimination and Oppression. there is no such thing as discrimination that comes from nowhere because it all has a systemic basis. telling oppressed people that their oppression β€œdoesn’t have a real systemic basis” is a symptom of being complacent. thinning down all systems of oppression into Race, Class and Gender and then β€œlesser” forms of discrimination like ableism (and often transphobia) as if they were nothing more than random individual bias is the same silencing tactic that oppressors use to deny that any form of oppression exists.
