like apart from the myriad of logical fallacies all clamoring for attention n this hell concept……. ur real, honest to god concern is………. “these teenagers don’t want to kill themselves but uhhhhh, they don’t really wanna have sex either,,,,,, and they’ve created a community that helps them accept themselves……… guys this is serious fucking business”

it’s also such typical bullshit that they decide that sexualities are so static and permanent that they’re phrasing a change or realisation of sexuality as an illusion. like asexuality is a facade that must be distracting you from your One True Orientation.

sexuality can change. it happens to a lot of people. sometimes bc of your meds or hormones. sometimes bc of trauma. sometimes bc you’re just growing up and changing as a person, or because you have the vocab you didn’t have before. it’s such a weird version of identity politics that anything about you that’s temporary or that ever changes must be False, and also you’re a Faker.

also, they’re talking about libido anyway. because why should a community decide what it stands for, that’s other people’s jobs.
