im fucking gay fuck but here we go lets do this

2. this photo is neck-to-thigh, looking up. avia’s jacket is now off and tied around her waist. the tops of her thigh-highs are visible, coming up to just below the hem of her skirt. one arm rests on her waist, while the other hangs down at her thigh, in front of the camera, holding an open pocket knife (the k n i f e)

3. knees down, from the side. this photo shows the heels and socks, and emphasizes calves and ankles. importantly for perspective, the camera is at roughly floor elevation

4. face! avia faces the camera, wearing her big round burgundy glasses with little white flowers along the tops of the rims. her hair is mostly pulled back but the sides drape gracefully down. as with 1, her collarbone tattoo and bra straps are visible and as with 1, her lipstick is a striking accent to the rest of the colors in the photo. her mouth is closed

5. as 4, but avia has reached up and pulled her glasses down, holding them by one earpiece against the side of her neck. her mouth is very slightly open. her eyes are very grey and i cant stop looking at this photo.

6. i believe this photo is the same as 2; if it’s not, i’ve missed something. Similar to 2, but her shoulders and elbow are turned more forward; it’s 2 but Directed At The Viewer Now

the set as a whole is arranged 2×3, so the bright red of her lipstick zig-zags from top to bottom, offset by knife-calves-knife. the lighting and colors (and the photos themselves i think) are soft but not warm, not aggressive but not… not passive, to be sure.

 i have a lot more feelings but i can’t parse them and definitely can’t separate my internal stuff from description? i feel theres more to be said here but this id is already way less concrete/definite/professional than i feel it ought to be so im gonna leave it here

What did he do?

He’s against changing the date of Australia day. Along with that, he compared the suffering felt by First Nation people to that felt by Slavs (specifically himself, a third generation Australian with Slavic ancestry), loves Jordan Peterson, is a massive sexist, and on numerous occasions has been incredibly transphobic, up to and including using the word ‘tranny’.

Basically he’s a shit bloke, but I wouldn’t blame anyone for not knowing that because he hides it very well behind irony and memes.

Happy Killing of Captain Cook Day!

“On February 14, 1779 Captain James Cook of the british royal navy was killed by natives in Kealakekua Bay, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Cook was a true savage, who sailed across the world bringing murder, rape, disease, and colonialism to native peoples all over the Pacific.

When he was killed, Cook was trying to kidnap the Hawaiian Aliʻi (tribal chief) Kalaniʻōpuʻu in response to an unknown person stealing a small boat. In the process, he had threatened to open fire on the islanders.

At this point, the Hawaiians decided
they had enough of Cook’s bullshit, threatened with mass murder and the kidnapping of one of their tribal leaders, the Hawaiian islanders finally gave this piece of shit what he deserved: a beatdown on the beach, and a knife to the chest. This put an end to a lifetime of predatory behavior and conquest of lands in the service to the british empire.

So how about instead of celebrating a boring consumerist holiday like Valentine’s Day, we celebrate something awesome, like the death of Captain Cook …”
