Me: I’m excellent at reading people
My therapist: you assume that ANYTHING is a sign people hate you
Me:… like I said, excellent at reading people!
My therapist, realising this is going to take ten more sessions: *internal screaming*

clitcheese:

aang: i need a way to stop the firelord without breaking my oath not to take a life

AVATAR KYOSHI DO NOT INTERACT

aang: you’re another air nomad, killing the firelord would disrupt my path to spiritual enlightenment

avatar yangchen: Sounds Like a You Problem

toph might not actually know zuko has a scar, or where it’s from. it’s never specifically mentioned when she’s around, except i guess during the Ember Island play when a kid says β€œyour scar is on the wrong side”

chronicallyinvisible:

able-bodied people don’t seem to realise the nuances of disability, they look at it as such a black and white issue when it’s really not. like, i don’t need a wheelchair in the sense that i can’t physically use my legs and i don’t need a walking stick in the sense that i would fall over without one. but i do need a wheelchair in the sense that it could make the difference between my being bed-bound for a day and being bed-bound for a week and i do need a walking stick in the sense that using one today might enable me to do more tomorrow. disability and chronic illness aren’t black and white; using things out of necessity can mean a lot of different things for a lot of different people.

So, wait, did Pearl ever actually choose to rebel? Has she only been “free” since Steven was born? I’m a little confused, and a lot of people are worried about and unsettled by the possibility that she never had a choice, if she could have been ordered to go along with it.

joethejohnston:

At the end ofΒ β€˜Single Pale Rose’ you see Pearl and Rose discussing together the action they’re about to take. Its a decision that they’re making together. Rose is not ordering to do this as a servant, but asking her as a comrade and a friend.
