If sex is so important to you that you don’t think you could be in a relationship with someone without it, that’s… something to bring up before even getting involved with someone. Y’know, so the other person knows what they’re getting into. If you assume that sex is important to everyone’s relationships and end up dating someone who doesn’t want to have sex ever, that’s not your partner’s fault. They have every right to say no. You’re the one who walked into this with expectations and didn’t tell them what those were.

And before someone tells me people who don’t want sex should mention that too, that’s true! But typically, they do. They don’t make that a surprise. Unless they just didn’t know sex wasn’t for them and thought they’d like it if they just tried it, which they tend to hear from others. In which case, you can’t tell people something you don’t know. That’s not their fault. Likewise, if you think you can be in a relationship without sex and find that you can’t after you try it, that’s also not your fault nor is it theirs.

Basically, people with different needs shouldn’t hide said needs from each other if they plan to be in a relationship.

Straight culture normalises this idea that sex is just what everyone wants and needs, but also sex is icky and ew, why would you ever want to talk about your sexual needs or consent, you weirdo! You should just instinctively know what your partner wants and when they want it!

This isn’t just harmful to people with sex repulsion, it’s harmful to everyone. Sex is one of those things that’s kind of important to bring up. Just like whether or not you want children, for instance. I don’t understand why this is contraversial statement in any way.

Much daily life becomes inaccessible to chronically ill people. And although I still work part time as a rabbi, chaplain, writer, and activist, and I am also an artist, husband, and friend, I am frequently asked whether I am anxious to get back to my “life” — as if being ill precludes living. Even in the months when I have been too sick to do anything, my life of being has still been meaningful. As a rabbi-chaplain, I meet countless sick people who are not productive, but who are nevertheless still precious. Even sick and disabled people who are not “inspiring” have a right to exist. To me, a life of illness is another complex and beautiful way of being human.

Gross blog warning

Alright, so an aquaintince of mine named lena stumbled across a blog known as lesbian-rehab-program and the blog contains as they described “a bunch of straight porn with captions like ‘take that you filthy lesbo c-nt’ and are tagged as feminism and lesbian.

Obviously im asking yall to report and block the blog since it’s disgusting and lesbophobic. I’d also like you all to signal boost so other sapphics/lesbians can know about the blog as well since it’s completely repulsive, thank you.

Another thing that really bothers me about the conversations around ‘riots’ is the amount of people who have a binary image of ‘big capitalist store’ versus the romantized ‘honest local store’ and think they can tell the difference from a photo.

A lot of local stores feel the need to compete with the big stores and treat their employees like shit. There are so many ‘local’ stores out there exploiting teenagers and undocumented people, paying them less than minimum wage, pushing them to work without breaks and to unpaid overtime. And local activists often know exactly who the worst bastards in town are.

When I was young I worked at a cute little local bakery that exploited a hand full of underage workers, denying us basic workers rights and minimum wage and exposing us to constant emotional abuse. We worked long shifts on ovens placed much to close together without proper protective gear and we burned ourselves almost every day. We were given minimal time and no proper supplies to treat burns. I once burned myself very badly and dropped the bread I was holding and the boss made me sit through a ten minute shouting before I could treat my burn. I still have clear scars from that work after many years.

So if the riot ever comes to that town, you can bet I’ll be right in front leading the charge to burn that cute little local bakery.

Everyone is freaking out about Donald Trump Jr because he openly admitted to colluding with Russia on behalf of his father’s campaign, and meanwhile all I can think about is that scene in Goblet of Fire where they’re in court and the witness is like “it was Barty Crouch….” [dramatic pause] “…Junior!” and everybody gasps

yesterday at midnight on the dot I thought of the phrase “industrial-era furries” and it’s maybe the funniest thing that’s ever popped into my head

imagine, fuckin’… some egyptologist who can’t explain why he finds images of Isis and Bastet conceptually compelling, so he whips up some pseudoscientific theory explaining it. imagine some rich duchess commissioning Toulouse-Lautrec to paint her Beatrix Potter OC. imagine one of Edison’s aides going through his office after his death only to find a sketchbook full of hot robot birds. I can’t get over this

Liberal trans women… stop. Radicalize. c’mon. We ain’t going nowhere by praising Laverne, Caitlynn, Manning, etc.

Celebrities help but tbh, the last three examples are kind of a poor element to pick from. Chelsea did suffer a lot for exposing war crimes (something she shouldnt have been arrested for, she was doing good). Laverne is just bathing in money by tokenizing herself and selling out. She’s an amazing actress, but she’s a capitalist after all. Caitlynn, well. She’s anti gay marriage and supports Trump, what else can I say.

Laura Jane Grace is a great icon, but as much as I love her, we have to stop idolizing trans women. I know, i feel so connected too, but it keeps pushing the idea of “oh trans people = money” by corporations, networks and the rest.

Look at pride for fucks sake. It started as a riot, expanded as a parade of celebration; and now it has fucking sponsors like banks, law firms, etc. By not radicalizing, we let the system use our identities as merchandise for the curious. Or in the other spectrum, to cause outcry therefore making more money.

Same goes to pop feminism. Fuck Hillary (Warmongerer), Fuck all the “feminist” actresses promoting non intersectional feminism (and being terfy at times). That’s how we get Laci Green’s.

LIBERALISM ALLOWS FASCISM AND IMPERIALISM TO SPREAD.

Get fucking Laverne, Chelsea, and Laura’s names out of your mouth, and dont you dare compare them to laci green, caitlyn jenner, or hillary. Like, in what universe does this make sense???

Look, you don’t seem like a bad person. Your heart is in the right place even if your head is up your ass. But you need to understand that accusing everyone of being liberals with…seemingly no sense behind it.

“we have to stop idolizing trans women“ isn’t something who’s actually thought about their stance could write… capitalist trans women maybe but you’ve still put a republican trump supporter on a list with an openly socialist whistle blower.

and even then, are Laverne Cox and LJG capitalists for appearing in a TV show and making music respectively? Neither of them have ‘sold out’ or whatever you’re accusing them of. You’re acting like the more radical option is for trans women to stay completely invisible and not appear in media. you’re acting like those two are capitalist sell-outs for just having jobs. fuck “bathing in money” i haven’t seen Laverne in a second role? do you think it would be more radical if there were no succesful trans women? would it be better if you couldn’t name any of us that aren’t in poverty?

Transmysoginy? lol. critiquing someone for their actions is now bigotted.

I’m a trans woman. I am in no point being transmysoginist. get your terminologies straight. I’m making a remark on the actions of such trans public people.

and could everyone stop saying I said shit about Laura? All I do is praise her for the work she’s done. For fuck’s sake. She hasnt sold out, well the band did for a while when they were on Warner Brothers but the bands gone back to their punk roots. So stop putting words in my text that arent there.

this is still textbook transmisogyny though. you said straight up ‘stop idolizing trans women’ like, regardless of their political ideology or anything. you can understand how someone might interpret that as, a statement harmful to trans women.

apparently you’re calling chelsea a capitalist and , just as bad as the miliatary she committed treason against so like…. you’re being wilfully ignorant at this point she’s against capitalism and the military industrial complex it’s right on her twitter? you get that assuming a bunch of trans women are liberal scum despite their actual views. it’s bad right. like even from another trans woman, it’s pretty suspect.
