I don’t think I’ll ever get over the time Lexa, a white lesbian character in brownface (with a bindi) got killed off and there was a huge uproar on social media and people rioted on the streets in anger, but when Poussey Washington, a black lesbian, got killed off in a horrifically gruesome way, well white fandom didn’t give a single shit and tried to lecture us qwoc on how her death actually was warranted because it was worth sacrificing what little positive representation we have to educate our oppressors.
