Offense but like how many years did straight people call everything they hated or disliked β€œgay”,,,,,, yet y’all can’t handle a single generalized statement online about being cis/het but okay!

We’re real people, though.

So are gay people????

I’m at the point right now where I have no sympathy for exlusionist genderists.

lavender-scones:

not-just-another-fake-lesbian:

Like this is y’alls fault.

When you started letting non-same sex attracted trans people in.

  • You caused homophobia within the community to spike.
  • Trans people calling women, who are oppressed for their genderΒ β€œcis”. A word that meansΒ β€œNot oppressed by gender”.
  • Caused trans people to think it was okay to force themselves on lesbians/gay men and call themΒ β€œtransphobic” if they wouldn’t have sex with you because you have a dick/vulva.
  • Let trans people trample over LGB issues like marriage equality, corrective rape, and the criminalization of gay sex.
  • Let trans people redefine gay and lesbian sex, calling lesbian’s attraction to vuvlas a β€œgenital fetish”.
  • Made everything have to beΒ β€œinclusive” for every possible gender anyone could possibly think they were and let straight people identify as β€œbisexual” because they might date a nonbinary person.
  • Made womyn exlusive issues surrounding their anatomy no longer (liberal)feminist becauseΒ β€œSOME MEN DEAL WITH THAT!!!!”
  • Prioritized non-same sex attracted trans people over actual LGB people

And this is what made ace people think they could step all over us as well.

  • Homophobia in the community spiked, once again
  • Ace people calling LGB people, who are oppressed for their attraction β€œallo”. A word that means β€œNot oppressed by attraction”.
  • Caused ace people to think it was okay to pressure people into relationships. If you say no because sex is important to you, you’reΒ β€œaphobic”
  • Let ace people trample over LGB issues like marriage equality, corrective rape, and the criminalization of gay sex.

  • Let ace people redefine what homosexual and bisexual mean to β€œexperiences sexual attraction to ______”. Calls anyone who doesn’t agree anΒ β€œaphobe”
  • Made everythingΒ β€œinclusive” for every possible a-spec identity anyone could possibly thing they are
  • Made LGB issues surrounding sex and relationships welcome becauseΒ β€œPDA IS GROSS!!!!”
  • Prioritizes non-same sex attracted ace people over actual LGB people.

IF YOU STILL CAN’T SEE HOW SIMILAR THESE ARE, YOU’RE THE REASON ACE PEOPLE WANT IN.

exclusionist voice: “we hate TERFs! we always no-platform them any chance we get and don’t want to be associated with them. anyway here’s my story about compulsory heterosexuality …”

i’m so confused by this?? are you saying compulsory heterosexuality is transphobic?

no_correlation.jpg

A) comparing trans people to terfs
B) sad
C) trans lesbians can also experience compulsory heterosexuality

i THINK it’s cuz someone said that comp het was a term created by terfs?

That’s so damn ignorant. Trans women that are lesbians can experience compulsory heterosexuality, and in fact, a lot of them do like most lesbians. Coming from me, a trans woman who is a lesbian and does, in fact, experience compulsory heterosexuality. So, this is transmisogynistic, again. Just because a term was made by shitty people doesn’t mean that everyone who uses it is shitty, it’s a term with a meaning and the meaning is not about the person who made it. If we acted like that in regards to every term we’d have barely anything to use.

oh for sure, i’m just saying i think that’s why anon said that. comp het is very useful terminology.

@mypolitics @discoursecrow @ainpost @mogai-is-bogai @hevvincourse the point is that, though its a useful concept to have the language to talk about, the term was created by a transmisoynist. create a new termΒ

talking over a trans woman? i see i see

now its my turn to use thisΒ

internalised heteronormativity. It’s a more coherent term, it doesn’t have a TERF connection, it hasn’t been used as ‘proof’ that bisexual women are wrong for IDing as bi, it’s really not difficult to use

also i swear stop fucking pulling this “you’re a transmisogynist for disagreeing with the trans women on our side of the discourse” it’s really embarrassing. you’re just closing your eyes and hoping there aren’t trans women who disagree w you

Fake β€œRadical Feminist” group actually paid political front for anti-LGBT James Dobson organization

golbatgender:

β€œThe anti-LGBT Religious RightΒ has been actively synchronizing their messageΒ with and adopting the terminology of anti-transgender feminist academics for a few years now. The goal is to divorce their position from the stodgy backwards-seeming prudish views that they believe lost them the culture war on gay marriage and adopt a language and message that will more easily infiltrate and divide progressive circles.”

gutspuppy:

hey um. So the movie Boss BabyΒ had a disgusting amount of transmisogyny in it, there was a β€œman in a dress” jokeΒ that played out for nearly the last half of the movie, umm, so if youre trans feminine I would seriously recommend avoiding this movie like the fucking plague, so maybe please spread this so trans girls can stay safe,,,

the more i think about this

the more pissed a get. now, i’m not saying disney needs to make shang canonically bisexual (*cough* disney should definitely make shang canonically bisexual *cough*) but like…this changes some of the core lessons of the animated movie?? like

animated mulan:

  • shows a romantic relationships that is strongly rooted in friendship and mutual respect (unlike many other disney movies)
  • moral: gender is not your most important characteristic. your gender alone does not define who you are

live action mulan, apparently:

  • it’s totally healthy to date someone whose personality you actually can’t stand so long as You Want To Bang ThemΒ Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

and all of this…just to remove….any slight hint…….of bisexual subtext………

Can we also talk about the transphobic undertones here? Like, he hates this one soldier who is Suspiciously Not Performing Masculinity Quite Right…..up until the moment the (heteronormative) narrative reveals that soldier to actually be a Perfectly Bangable Cis Lady! Whew! (So gross…)
