someone at the door: rings doorbell
me: dives to the floor like I’m being shot at, army crawls around the couch, rolls into another room, peeks around a corner to see if I can tell who it is, and then proceeds to wait for them to leave.

softtrade:

The irony is that when a trans man says something about gender, people have this β€œOh well, he must have personal insight, having been both” (lots of times the dude specifically says this) whereas when trans women say things about gender, the idea is that she isn’t allowed to have opinions on women, men, or gender at all, having failed to belong to either gender.

canadian-marxist:

Saying that rich people hate poor people misses the point, imo.Β

It doesn’t matter if the rich hate the poor or if they actually love them deep down. They exploit and profit from the poor. A reserve army of labour is an intrinsic part of capitalism, it scares workers from organizing and fighting for their rights.Β

If a capitalist saw the error of their ways and decided to treat their workers well and give to the poor that would affect their bottom line and they would be squeezed out of the market by their more ruthless fellow capitalists. Exploitation is literally unavoidable under capitalism.Β

It’s not the morals of capitalists that need to be fought, it’s capitalism itself.Β
