clitcheese:

terfs have picked up the rhetoric that the AIDS crisis was /The/ defining moment for the community, and that’s why there’s absolutely no room for ace or aro people in the LGB community, because they weren’t at risk. let that sink in for a moment. The LGB community.

they’re erasing the fact trans women, most especially trans women of colour and sex workers, are still the highest-risk group for HIV.

i’m done. TWERFs can die. SWERFs who want to eradicate sex work before eradicating poverty can die. Ace ‘exclusionists’ giving them more ideas on how to exclude trans women can delete your shit sideblogs now and think real hard about what you’re doing, thanks

Also, a short list of reasons TERFs absolutely love reframing LGBT as SGA:

– it’s framing bi and pan people as a burden on the resources of the True SGAs.
– It frames bi people’s belonging as conditional, they can belong so long as they’re not dating the opposite gender.
– This is what TERFs have been trying to do to bi women forever, framing all sex with men as rape and bi women as gullible idiots who need to become a Properly Gay for their own safety
– it’s framing trans people as hitching a ride onto the SGA community.
– it’s framing straight trans people as the Privileged Invaders.
– It erases the sexualities of nonbinary people without same or similar genders, because they mustn’t really exist, right. if anything, they’re anomalies who don’t really belong.

Reframing the root cause of our oppression as SGA, instead of our /actual identities as an oppressed class/, is completely in line with what TERFs have been doing since the 70s, you gullible fucks. you can write ‘No TERFs’ on your blog as much as you like but it doesn’t stop them reblogging your posts. You need to block each one on sight. TERF blogs are still full of your rhetoric. Stop feeding the monsters.

if TERFs have reblogged your aphobe posts, message them to delete it, publically call them out, spam them, shame them. and if you feel the need to write more posts about excluding aces, think ‘could this idea also be used against trans women, bi people or nonbinary people?’ because it usually will.

i really appreciate the social model of disability (the simple version is that someone being in a wheelchair is not a problem, not having ramps is) and i use it when speaking of being autistic all the time

but i don’t know how to reconcile it w my physical disability. i’m so completely exhausted 99% of the time that i can’t really do anything but sit down and. watch TV. and i’m so mentally exhausted that I can’t hold a conversation for a few minutes. i haven’t done anything creative in a year. the only accomodation i can imagine that would help me is telekinesis. or the entire nature of physical reality changes so that actions stop costing energy.

im. out of breath from typing this on my phone. is how bad im doing today.

ugh it may have been 5 fucking years ago but i remember reading a great critique of the phrase “coherent class” and how it’s only ever heard on leftist tumblr and doesn’t have a defined meaning. as in, it hasn’t been used in peer reviewed literature because no one actually knows what it means. if anyone can find me this ancient post or any published articles that critique the phrase that would be amazing because i’ve been searching around i’ve got nothing.

like really i can’t actually find a definition of a Coherent Class fucking anywhere

if you think forcing terfs out of online spaces is ‘toxic’, or describe it as a witchhunt, or “just tumblr going overboard again” then kindly get a million miles from me and don’t consider yourself an ally to trans women ever, thanks

the terf from yesterday on the Really Long Queer post did reply, with a cryptic remark that i’m out to infringe on her rights (possibly about abortion rights? it was v vague) and trans people are evidence that ‘the left hates women as much as the right’

like when all else fails…. make no sense am i right 🙃

i’m seeing posts saying that umbrella terms like queer and mogai are bad because they harm trans women, in ways such as it’s lumping us in with our oppressors, and assuming shared identity where there is none.

which is cool and all but each one of these posts champion LGBT as the less problematic alternative, completely unironically. even going so far as bringing up the myth that we’re “an historic coalition of SGA and trans people”, which i’m not going to get into what a rewrite of history that is today

it’s like the cis lgbp folk finally got around to listening to all the reasons we don’t like LGBT, only to recycle our words to justify ripping queer out of our mouths.
