Miss me with the confirmed lesbians sleeping with attractive straight men trope. It’s stupid and it’s dangerous.

Make your character meaningfully, explicitly bisexual, or actually write a lesbian you fools.

#miss me with your gold star shit too #lesbians can have been with men in the past and id as lesbian later #but still #i feel very strongly about this #there are 2 communities in need you could serve #instead you’re making both of them look terrible #and gross #lesbians are what they say they are #and bisexual is NOT a dirty word #so fucking use it

In your village lies the Lake of Memories. If anyone wishes to be rid of a memory, they can write it on a rock, throw it in and forget. Those who wish to be wise often search for rocks to read, but the memory is then theirs to keep. You find a rock in your childhood handwriting.

it’s my childhood trauma and i immediately dunk it back in the lake with a really satisfying BLOOB sound

“trans people have existed the entire time” yo i studied greek and roman literature in college and this dude Lucian (2nd century CE) wrote a piece called Dialogue of the Courtesans and one chapter called “The Lesbians” (unfortunately misnamed) has a courtesan named Leaina tell about a lover she had named Megilla who was AFAB but preferred to be called Megillus and presented himself as male and insisted in very detailed dialogue he was male in every way except for his birth, check it out

support-our-trans-sisters:

thank you! it’s seriously ridiculous how terfs think trans people just popped up in the sixties?? like?? talk about not knowing your own history

there’s also the Cult of Cybele, an important religion to the Roman empire that had a priestess-hood made up of trans women. Catallus, a very famous latin author, wrote about their mythology, where apparently dysphoria is treated as a sacred calling from the goddess. Here’s my fave translation, it doesn’t add in any unnecessary misgendering that wasn’t there in latin, because apparently translators feel the need to do that sometimes. TW for descriptions of intense dysphoria, and a gorey description of ancient bottom surgery.

a good rule of thumb is that if you see the word ‘eunuch’ in a history book, that’s usually a reference to trans women that’s been lost in time thanks to the rise of Christianity.

lesbian-ace-in-space:

You can’t say your blog is “a safe space for all wlw” if you reblog posts that make a spec wlw uncomfortable.

Don’t say “a spec wlw included” or “all wlw are welcome here” if you:

• reblog aphobic content (both explicit and implicit)

• reblog from aphobes

• refuse to acknowledge a post is aphobic even if an a spec wlw tells you it’s making them uncomfortable

• don’t support a part of our identity

As a neurodivergent ace wlw, I deserve to know if your space is really safe for me, or if it’s dangerous for my mental health.

If it’s not safe for me I just need to know, so I won’t follow you.

I am a lesbian, I am ace, I am neurodivergent: the wlw part of my identity doesn’t erase my sexual orientation and seeing aphobic content in “wlw safe spaces” triggers my anxiety.

Just so y’all know, this blog is absolutely a safe space for aspec wlw. Aphobia won’t be condoned here, ever.

transfemcore:

you can’t fault trans people for finding appeal in separatism when there are literally a very significant chunk of people who use the acronym lgb, talk of dropping the t, and consistently are some of the most transphobic people yet somehow gets a seat in lgbtq+ spaces (and has influenced our movement largely for decades now)..

you legit cannot fault people for not finding appeal in anything outside of having a trans community when the greater community has been like this.

If you endorse policies that would eventually lead to the deaths of huge swathes of disabled and chronically ill people, your own motives for doing so might be perfectly reasonable, but some of the results of those policies are functionally indistinguishable from large-scale forcible eugenics, and your support makes you at least partially complicit. It’s mass murder of disabled and chronically ill people via legalized medical neglect, and it doesn’t belong in any society that claims to protect its own citizens.
